This piece of writing demonstrates the Information Literacy learning outcome because I had to find, evaluate, and explain several credible secondary sources about esports and communication. While building my annotated bibliography, I learned how to look for peer-reviewed research that connects to my primary sources, such as interviews with players and viewers. Writing the summaries and explanations helped me think critically about how researchers study motivation, identity, and audience behavior. By comparing sources like Rhee, Jang, and Hamari, I was able to show how my own research fits into existing academic conversations about esports. This process improved my ability to analyze credible information and present it clearly in an academic format.
